The Maciest Poker Tracker Available Today, Poker Copilot!

Poker CoPilot mac tracking softwareFinally, there is a great solution for Mac NLHE players looking for native Macintosh Poker tracking software. I am happy to introduce Poker Copilot! No, it is not going to be like Poker Tracker 3, but it sure is one fine piece of live tracking software for the mac. They were also the first Mac tracking software company to offer the first on table HUD for the mac!! (Go Steve!!) As of this moment there currently is support for both FullTilt Poker and PokerStars, with other sites coming soon.  Poker Copilot was designed with simplicity in mind, and developer Steve McLeod has made this program easy to set-up, use, and understand, the way a mac is intended. From what I can tell so far, he has been more than successful. You will find above par customer service, and a great product that is under constant improvement. The improvements are heavily based on user requests, and implemented in speedy fashion. While the current version runs great, there are constant improvements and updates going on, so please feel free to get involved and share your ideas to help improve on this great piece of software. Visit Poker Copilots Get Satisfaction area, and let Steve know what you would like to see in future versions.

"I released the first version with a minimal set of features. The idea was, from this I can get user feedback about what features to add. This is better than me just throwing in any feature I can think of. The more a particular feature is requested, the higher it goes on my priority list."

Please feel free to send in your feedback. Also, to find out more about the software, and its development, you can check out Poker Copilots blog. It is interesting to read Steve's thought processes as he blogs to other software designers about the trials and tribulations of developing this software.

Poker Copilot is a real-time poker hand analysis tool that continually monitors your hands history for updates. The updates are then immediately processed with the statistics displayed on the main screen and HUD screen automatically for your review as you play. When you start your session, hit the Show HUD button in the top right of the main window, and Poker Copilot starts to scan for your hand histories. Please don't forget to enable Hand Histories to get the hands into Poker Copilot when you first install the program, or else the program will not receive your Hands History.

In PokerStars: Option > Instant Hand History Options.. > Select/click "Save My Hands History"

In FullTilt Poker: Options > Hand History > Select/click "Save My Hand Histories"

Dashboard:

The Dashboard is where you will find all your personal stats arranged neatly for you to analyze. You will find stats displayed for that day, as well as your total. There are two options for the display. Simple dashboard, and Advanced Dashboard. Using the Filters above you can narrow your focus by looking at Ring Game or Tournament results, select Date Range, Table Size, Game Type, and Position. These filters are great to use as you look into different parts of your game, to help pinpoint the strengths and/or weaknesses in your poker playing.
Poker CoPilot stats DashboardSimple Dashboard:
The basic stats are displayed here for quick review. Stats collected are:

Games played: This is the number of hands recorded.

Big blinds won/100 hands:
Your winnings for each hand are expressed as a number of big blinds. For example, if you win $2.30 on a table where the big blind is $0.10, then your winnings for that hands is 23. Your wins and losses as a number of big blinds are averaged and multiplied by 100. This results in a normalized value useful for comparisons regardless of the stake level of each table.

$ won/100 hands:
Your wins and losses are averaged and multiplied by 100. This allows you to monitor how quickly you are winning or losing money.

Total winnings: The total amount of money you have won or lost, in dollar terms. This is the most important statistic of all.

Voluntarily put $ in pot: This measures how often you voluntarily invested money into a hand. Paying the big blind, the small blind, or the ante is not considered voluntary. Therefore this percentage indicates how often you either called, bet, or raised. The lower this value, the tighter the you. The higher, the looser. Just how tight or loose depends on how many opponents you are playing against.

Pre-flop raise: This indicates how often you have raised before the flop is seen. A high value is one indicator of an aggressive player.

Post-flop aggression % ("Aggression frequency"): This indicates how aggressive you are, post-flop. It is calculated by counting the number of hands in which you've either bet or raised, and dividing this by the number of hands in which you've either bet, raised, called, or folded, and multiplying by 100. The higher this number, the more aggressively you are playing. Note that this measure must be interpreted in combination with Flops Seen. Players who see very few flops will naturally tend to have a higher aggression % because they are only playing top-quality hole cards.

Poker CoPilot Advanced DashboardAdvanced Dashboard:
Has the same stats as above, plus more stats for a more detailed analysis.
Additional stats are:

Flops seen: This indicates in what percentage of hands you reached the flop without folding. This statistic counts every hand, regardless of whether you reached the flop without betting (for example, if you were in the big blind).

Post-flop aggression ("Aggression factor"): This is calculated by counting the number of hands in which you've either bet or raised post-flop, and dividing this by the number of hands in which you've called post-flop. This value ranges from zero to infinity, which makes it awkward to use. Poker Copilot includes this statistic for comparisons with "Poker Tracker" statistics. Post-flop aggression % is a superior way of measuring aggression.

Blind stealing attempts: This indicates how often you attempt to steal the blinds when you had the opportunity to do so. Poker Copilot considers that you have a blind-stealing opportunity when you are "on the button" (last before the blinds to make an action), and every player so far has folded. An attempt to steal the blinds is when you raised when given a blind-stealing opportunity. A good player attempts to steal the blinds often, but not always.

Check-raised: A check-raise, a cunning play best used seldom, is when you check, let another player bet, then raise. This measure is how often you check-raised during a hand. Due to the typically very low check-raise percentage, 1% or lower, and for the sake of meaningful comparisons, Poker Copilot shows this value to two decimal places.

Went to showdown:
This is a measure of how often you were still in the action when the hand went to showdown. Showdown occurs when the final round of betting is complete and at least two players are still in.

Won at showdown: This indicates how often you won a hand in a showdown. It is calculated as a percentage of all hands in which you went to showdown.
Poker CoPilot displays tournament statisticsWon without showdown: This indicates how often you won a hand without going to showdown because all other players folded. It is calculated as a percentage of all hands played.

Three-bet: This is a measure of how often you three-bet on any street. In pre-flop betting, to three-bet is to raise after at least one other player has raised. On any other street, to three-bet is to raise after both a bet and at least one raise. It is calculated as a percentage of all hands played.

Summaries:
You will find these charts helpful in going back over your play, and keeping track of what is going on. You will find summaries on:

HUD:

Poker Copilot also has a convenient HUD window that displays your opponents stats while you play. Choose to display the stats in either the Poker CoPilot classic window, or right on the table! Poker CoPilot is the first Mac software to offer this feature. Using the HUD makes it a lot easier to be able to compare all the players at your table. You can answer these questions: Is my opponent a calling station? Ultra-tight? Super-aggressive on the raises? Am I the tightest or loosest player on the table? Plus a lot more depending which HUD you use.

Poker CoPilot classic HUDClassic HUD: The classic HUD is small and easily fits anywhere on your screen.
You can choose to display the classic HUD as a chart(Bar Graph) or in Table form. Poker CoPilot table HUDThe chart uses easy to read bar graphs to show you the most basic information. Stats displayed are Hands played, Flops Seen, VP$IP, and Raised percentages. When used in Table mode there are a few more stats available. Besides the four main stats, you also get Aggression, Blind Steal Attempts(BSA), Check Raise %, and 3bet % in the table mode. This is the easiest way to see all the stats on your opponents at once.

PokerStars table view with CoPilot HUDOn Table HUD: It seems like a miracle to finally have a HUD that overlays the stats right on the table. Poker CoPilot is the first Mac program to offer such a great feature. The new HUD is also customizable allowing you to tweak to your hearts content. Choose up to 9 different stats and the order in which you would like them displayed. Stats to choose from are:% Aggression, % Flops Seen, Aggression Factor, Average take in Big Blinds, % Blind Steal Attempts, % Check Raised, % Three Bet, Times Played, plus many many more, with new features added frequently. Stats are color coded for ease of use too. When playing an opponent for the first time, the stats starts out as light grey. As you gather more stats New HUD preferences panelon the opponent the stats start to turn a brighter shade of grey to white as the stats become a little more "reliable." After about 50 hands(or whatever you set via the Magic HUD Threshold) the stats switch from grey/white to yellow. When you move or resize the table the HUD automatically repositions itself. You can also view the full information on anyone by clicking on their stats. I think you will find this New HUD to be an excellent addition to Poker CoPilot.

If you are interested at all in getting any kind of tracking program, I would recommend checking out Poker Copilot. While it might not be the next "Poker Tracker 3", it certainly is worth a peek. It might even be the best fit for you. I eagerly look forward to seeing how this program develops over the near future and will do my best to record all the changes as they happen. For the most recent information, or to download the software you can visit Poker Copilot and try it FREE for 30 days before you buy. I hope you enjoy this new piece of Mac software.
