A way to stop the Freezes in some PowerBooks

My wifes Powerbook (1.67 GHz Power PC G4) has been freezing intermittently for the past year. We performed the standard fixes/tests, to varying degrees of success, or lack thereof.. I came across this thread at mac.com, which has totally sorted us out. Thought I would pass this along. (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=436503&tstart=165)    All you have to do is install CHUD tools, they should be available on your computer. Go To: Applications> Installers> Xcode Tools> Packages> CHUD.pkg   Install this, and restart. Now when you go to your system preferences you will see a Processors button on the bottom. You click this and disable "Allow Nap". This has solved our problems.  If you shutdown or restart your computer you will need to  disable "allow Nap" in your preferences. There are some people who have written scripts that does this automatically and can be found in this thread as well. Hope this helps.
